Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo
In early Summer 2019 we were approached by our client to supply & erect a Timber Frame structure for his son’s new build in Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. Our Client was a builder for many years and had little experience in dealing with Timber Frame as he usually built with blocks on his projects.
But after a few discussions and site visits he was convinced that going Timber Frame on this job was the correct call for him. We then proceeded to pass the plans off to our Engineer & Timber Frame Designer who worked together to produce the drawings for our Timber Frame Panels.
Our factory then began to manufacture the panels and had a full 2-storey house produced in just under 2 weeks.
We were on site in late August and had the Kit erected in 2 weeks, much to the delight of our client.
At the start the build process the project manager touches base with the foundation contractors and discusses the requirements for the Timber Frame structure. He also takes measurements on a regular basis in order to make sure that they are identical to the measurements the production team are working off.
With our vast experience in the construction industry, our project managers are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of a build so are more than willing to provide their own expertise when dealing with other sub-contractors.
Erecting the Kit
After the kit is unloaded, the team then go about erecting the kit as described in the erection schedule
The kits are then snagged by the Engineers, so that if there are any minor problems – these can be resolved, and they can issue a cert for the build to show its compliance.
