Ramelton – Co. Donegal

Summary

Recently we completed a project in Ramelton, Co. Donegal where we supplied and erected our rapid build system. This package included External Walls, Internal Walls and a flat roof system done with Metal Web Joists. The roof also had multiple falls from centre to create same depth fascia all way around.

The design stage was relatively straight forward for experienced Designer/Engineer and had the kit into production just a few weeks after the contract was signed and on site within a further 2 weeks ready to begin erection. The roof section proved to be a little more complex due to the multiple falls, but again our designers were able to design the roof using metal web joists with no issues at all.

After we brought the kit to site – the erecting team were able to get the Kit erected in just 2 weeks and then it was ready for the clients block layer to start his work. As you can see from the photos below it turned out fantastic and the client was more than happy with the work.

Roughly done in 6-7 weeks from signing of contract.

Foundations

As with all our Timber Frame package builds – the project manager touches base with the foundation contractors and discusses the requirements for the Timber Frame structure. He also takes measurements on a regular basis in order to make sure that they are identical to the measurements the production team are working off.

With our vast experience in the construction industry, our project managers are extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of a build so are more than willing to provide their own expertise when dealing with other sub-contractors.

Erecting the Kit

After the kit is unloaded, the team then go about erecting the kit as described in the erection schedule

The kits are then snagged by the Engineers, so that if there are any minor problems – these can be resolved, and they can issue a cert for the build to show its compliance.
