FAQ'S

Frequently Asked Questions

These are just a handful of questions that we get asked on a regular basis, if you have a question that is not on the list – contact our team today and they will be able to help with whatever you are looking to find out.

1) What’s the advantages of Turnkey over the Timber Frame Package?

A) It saves a lot of time and money on your end, not having to chase after various tradesmen for quotes and to schedule work to be done (which can all be quite stressful). Instead we take over all this and get contact the various tradesmen and arrange when work must be done on the site.

2) How much control do I have over the various aspects of the build?

A) While most of the build we will use the standard materials that the client will not need to be involved in. For the likes of paint, Windows & Doors, Internal finishes etc., we will arrange site meetings and show the client various examples of materials that they can choice from or they can show us any materials they sourced themselves and agree on which is best to use going forward.

3) Do I need to be constantly on site?

A) The client can visit the site as much as they want or as little as they want, we will provide them with all relevant safety equipment once they are there and supervised by a member of staff.

4) Does Modern Timber Frame have house plans you can use?

A) We do not provide this service as of yet. You would need to visit an architect and get plans drawn up before you would be able to get a detailed quote off us. We would then communicate with your architect throughout the build to make sure everything is as it should be.

5) Can I source somethings myself (Tradesmen etc.)?

A) Yes, if you would like some aspect of the build to be done by yourself (Source windows/doors or have a qualified tradesman you know do some work on the build.). We are happy to discuss this and assuming the person in question is fully qualified and is willing to stand over their work, then we would be more than happy to take this off the total bill of the project.
